Also feel free to share the code with family and friends anywhere in the country. Anyone can elect to benefit the LRA Parents Association! About the Parents Association The PA will support and complement the mission and philosophy of Lake Ridge Academy through volunteer service, fundraising and special events. We strive to actively involve and communicate with the parent community through efforts that foster mutual respect, awareness and support for the school’s policies and programs. We are coordinators of social events for adults, students and teachers; fund important projects on campus; operate a teacher grant program; and are HUGE advocates of our school through supporting our faculty, staff, and community projects. There are ways both big and small to get involved and support our school with the PA! Some will give with their time, volunteering to be on a committee or help to organize a special event. Others will support with contributions like purchasing gift cards through the PA, collecting items for our FUNDrives or ordering lunches for their student through the Lunch Program. You can stay up to date with the PA by joining our private PA Facebook page. Each week the PA also submits an InTouch Newsletter that appears under the division newsletters. The InTouch newsletter is a great source for meeting reminders, current and future event updates, and general information. And, of course, we encourage you to come back to this website frequently, as it is our main hub for all PA information including meeting dates, minutes, fundraisers, lunch program, special event notices, etc. ▸ Who is the Parents Association? The Parents Association is made up of all of the Parents at LRA, so YOU are the PA! There is no registration form and no annual dues and everyone is welcome to attend general meetings and participate however they are able to. ▸ What does the PA support? The funds raised by the Parents Association supports many campus needs and events that make your students experience special, including Room Parent budgets, educational grants for faculty, MS community building days, fall family sports day, K-12 potlucks, a faculty/staff appreciation, the Senior Class luncheon, LS end of the year picnic, O’Neill senior scholarship, and any other requests for funding by administration for campus improvements. Over the last four years, our association has given over $50,000 back to the school. ▸ How does the PA raise funds? The Parents Association organizes many creative fundraisers to help support our school. Some are special events like the LS Holiday Craft Workshop, while others are geared for the PA to benefit when you purchase items you usually would anyway. These are collaborations with stores like RiteAid and Heinen’s and Dine to Donate nights at places like Bistro 83 and Red Robin. We are continuously introducing new fundraisers. More information about the 21/22 fundraisers can be found on this website. ▸ How can I get involved?
